Obama / Biden

ObamaBy VictorM:

You want family values? Vote for Obama and Biden:

That's right: one spouse, one house. Good old American values. Great American stories.

Oh, and for you nervous ones... get over it. We have our ticket. Let's get them in the White House.

Comments:
Oh Jesus fucking Christ that's lame.

Wake me up when it's all over, OK?

Lame? haha that's "first draft" writing for you.

But... come on sar, the election is decided by people who are impacted by lame themes. Republicans have figured that out a while ago; it's time we get in the game.

First draft? Ha ha!

Ok ok, but c'mon. Doesn't it make you cringe to see this kindergarten bullshit? From either side? Is it ok for us to lower the discourse just because they do if it means winning?

Wait, don't answer that.

It's sad to say, but undoubtably true, that it is not possible to dumb down the discourse too much for the American public. The average attention span of Joe Paycheck is about 4 seconds.
That's something Hillary didn't get. She's a brilliant policy wonk, like her spouse, and great on the details. But details go over peoples' heads. They just want to hear the equivalent of "the other guy sucks". That's all they have room for in their tiny little heads. That's why they identified with Bush so much.

Damn, you answered that. Thanks, rreppy. Now I'm even MORE depressed. LOL
