Figure of eight
By VictorM:Remember back in 2004 how some in the left blogsphere went nuts with accusations that George Bush was wired during one of the debates with John Kerry?
Why do I bring this up now? Well, for 2 reasons.
One reason is that this weekend I decided to try riding a scooter and wound up crashing against a stone wall and breaking my collarbone. Right now I'm wearing this figure of eight harness strapped around my shoulders and back. As I was looking in the mirror, my back looked awfully similar to all those pictures of George Bush "wired". Did the nutty left ever consider that George Bush could have been using some contraption for medical reasons? Nah, not really.
The second reason I bring this up is to remind everyone to be a little more skeptical about such fanatical observations this time around, whether those charges come from the nutty right or the nutty left. We all know John McCain is a rabid, raving lunatic who'll get us into lots of wars and Obama is a friend of terrorists. We don't need any made up accusations to muddy the waters.
