Carlin, dead

George Carlin is dead at age 71. This comment summarizes well my impressions of the great comedian:

If the role of religion, sex, and politics in the United States were a sleeping bear, Carlin thought it best to poke that bear with a stick. “I think it is the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately,” Carlin would say.
