Maybe I was wrong
By VictorM:Was I wrong? I said for months that the Democrats have two excellent presidential candidates and I'd be happy with either one as the nominee.
Maybe I was wrong, but I'm not bitter and I'm not making any 3 AM calls. I'll just vote against the idiot who wants to stay in Iraq the longest.

That's one way to do it, Vic. But it's surer to be less satisfying than being positively for someone, for some specific reasons, don't you think?
Me, I'll vote for a stinking piece of roadkill before I'd vote for a Republican shit-for-brains Bush apologist like McCain.
I'd vote for a steaming pile of doggie doo before I'd vote McCain.
I'd sing "Hail to the Chief" to a putrid pit of puke before voting for anyone who'd remotely continue the policies of Bush and Cheney.
See a pattern arising here?
I'm not just "against" a Republican candidate. Oh,no indeed! I am FOR anyone - no, make it any THING, living, dead, or putrified - who will do something different than continue to shove the hateful, failed, fascist Republican agenda down our throats even one more minute.
... But, hey; ya wanna know how I REALLY feel?

I hear you SW. I just have come to realize that while Obama or Clinton are massively superior to any Republican, and while I recognize that I may be allowing the primary contest to cloud my judgment, I have to say that as of today, I'm not as excited about the candidates as I once was. Clinton has gone too "Rove-like" for my taste, and Obama... he gives great speeches but I fear he's running on a theme ("I'm a uniter, not a divider") that I don't want, don't believe can work, and above all, think it'll be too easy to McCain's campaign to rip apart.
*rubs eyeballs, clean ears with a Q tip*
What what what? What's this? Victor isn't particularly excited about either Democratic candidate? You're starting to sound like me. ;P
I'm still for Russ Feingold, baby. Cheese-man 4EVAH!

Nah... other than his songs, I don't much pay attention to Bruce's views (not that I don't like the man) but when it comes to presidential candidates, I'm on my own.
I'm still supporting either Democratic candidate, I'm just not as excited about each as I once was. And by that I don't mean they wouldn't be good presidents, I'm just referring to them as candidates.
Why can't Dems just stick to a script and not talk too much during the campaign? Short sentences, tested language. NO IMPROVISING! NO PHILOSOPHIZING. No bowling, no tank rides, no hunting trips. Is that too much to ask?
