A frightening thought
By VictorM:Sometimes pollsters do waste their time asking dumb questions. Here's an example: Iranians were asked if they would like to vote for their supreme leader. Here's the result:
almost nine out of 10 voters surveyed want the top political position to be accountable to voters, the poll found.Was that poll really necessary? Why don't we have a poll about how many people in the USA would like to drink gasoline for breakfast? I bet we'd get about the same result.
But, I got to thinking, "almost nine out of 10 voters" is a phrase we could use to characterize the number of Americans who think George Bush is doing a poor job. Now, just imagine we got stuck with George Bush as president for life! *horror movie scream in the background*
Well, that must be how the Iranians feel about their plight.

Who's to say that ol' Dick and George won't still try for "president for life"? How hard will it be to "arrange" for a horrific "terrorist attack" to occur around November and force them to declare a National Emergency and cancel the elections?
