Bill Kristol? Get Real!

Get RealBy VictorM:

Back in the days when I used to watch political TV shows, I always thought that Bill Kristol was a complete waste as a pundit. It's not that I need to agree with anyone's views, but he sounded bumbling with his words, didn't express coherent thoughts, and lacked any sense of humor or wit. Really, I never understood what he had to offer.

Now, the New York Times is making him an opinion columnist. Get freaking real! Why on Earth? Is the pool of conservatives so weak that they couldn't find anyone better? OK, dumb question. The truth is that to be a "good" conservative columnist today you need to be either dumb or a liar. With Kristol, the New York Times gets both!

Comments:
I hope David Brooks claws his eyes out. Nothing quite like a conservative columnist bitch fight.

What pisses me off is that the NYT is hiring a guy who already has a print platform via the Weekly Standard, gets multiple invites as political analyst for the likes of Fox News, AND last but certainly not least, was key in the formation of PNAC. It's not like he doesn't already HAVE a voice and multiple outlets for his opinions and (gag!) analysis.
