Hi, I am just wondering if I am doing right or wrong. Please advise! I am seeing a man for one month now. One night, he asked me to come over to his place. I said "next time" to him because I was tired that night, but he really wanted to see me so I finally accepted his invitation. Every time I call him up and ask him when he will be back home. He always says in ten mintues, but never makes it in ten minutes. So I was mad that night and I ran away. It doesn't mean he doesn't care, but it does mean he's irresponsible, disrespectful, and takes you for granted. You have to decide if those are personality traits that you can live with or not. Just be aware that if he's like that this early in the relationship, it's only going to get worse. And stop making excuses for his behavior. Being busy and being irresponsible with other people's time are mutually exclusive behaviors.

I think it's good that you didn't wait. In fact, you should stop waiting for more than just a few minutes. But, let me ask you, why don't you ask him to call you when he gets home, and only then leave your house? Let him be the one waiting for you. And if he takes too long, say you're not going.

It's possible that he'll change if you train him properly, but don't get your hopes too high.
