My mistake will beat your mistake
By VictorM: They say confession is good for the soul. So, as far as politics go, here’s my confession: In 2000, during the vice-presidents’ debate between Dick Cheney and Joe Lieberman, I actually believed they were two sane, decent, and wise men who would make the presidency of either Gore or Bush better. Now, I dare you, double dare you, to admit to a bigger political mistake. I don’t think you can.

I believed that Saddam Hussein had Weapons of Mass Destruction and he needed to be stopped. Took me a while to accept how wrong the whole thing was and how I should have known better. I hate it that I was suckered!
