Idiot of the Day: Betty
By VictorM: In Betty's Page, a right-winger's blog, Betty is either confused or blatantly ignorant about recent history. Talking about Iraq, she asks: "[Democrats] say that our troops should just be used to train the Iraqi forces and not be used for combat. Hey, isn't that basically what Bush was doing for most of 2006 while the situation kept deteriorating and all the Democrats demanded that he alter?" The answer: No! Betty is wrong on the characterization of both the Democrats plan and what Bush was doing in 2006. I guess the people who are too idiotic to see how they screwed thing up are equally idiotic about recognizing a real solution.
