Scientist Slams Australia Climate Policy

By Australian scientist Tim Flannery, whom Prime Minister John Howard officially named as Australian of the year: There's no doubt this government has been dragging the chain... I've said in the past that Australia has been the worst of the worst in terms of addressing climate change, but I'm hopeful that we'll see... some movement... Hard steps are now required where a decade ago we may have been able to take smaller and easier ones... We need to get the polluter to pay, and once that happens if the price is right we'll start seeing investments in a new energy economy.
