Know Jesus = No peace?
I was behind a car today and noticed the bumper sticker. It said: "No Jesus = No Peace. Know Jesus = Know Peace".
Now, I don't have a problem with the second part. I can understand how knowing Jesus can bring you peace, but I do have problems with the first part. Besides disagreeing with it, I have a problem understand how someone can be promoting peace with a bumper sticker that's clearly offensive to those who don't follow Jesus. After all, if you feel you need to make such a challenge, where's the peace in that?

Oh come on, Victor.
Now you're gonna whine about how YOU'RE offended with a Christian bumper sticker?! I agree 100% with it and would proudly put it on my car (Well, maybe not on my car since my husband would FREAK).
The bumper sticker that says, "Against abortion? Don't have one" hurts me every time I see it. It offends me. But it's their right of free speech to say it. Aren't you the one sooo big on the constitution? Do the Christians need to be more demure on their beliefs so that their faith in Jesus doesn't offend you? Puh-lease =P

Whoa! Who said anything about her not having the right to display it? And who said anything about being offended? I said neither of those things.
I was just merely questioning how much someone is at peace if they feel the need to make that statement.
For example, how confident is a person who keeps reminding others that he/she is more confident than anyone else?
Frankly, that woman's need to have that bumper sticker shows a lack of peace. That was my reaction. Someone who is at peace does not feel the need to shove anything in other's faces. Besides, the first part of the statement is plain stupid. I can understand if it said "salvation" (I can understand, not agree), but peace? Come on, just because some people couldn't find peace until they found Jesus doesn't mean many people aren't capable of doing it without Him -- in fact, many do.
And that's all I'm saying.

Yeah, Victor, I completely disagree with you. Displaying a sign like that is stating what she found peace in. And I don't think she's SHOVING it in anyone's face anymoreso than having a Christian fish or other emblem does. My license plate tag says Jesus is Lord--does that mean I'm shoving it in your face? No, I'm simply proclaiming what I believe. She believes, no Jesus, no peace. I'm with her on that. And yes, people do have peace without Jesus, but I thought I did too, BEFORE I found Jesus. It (that peace) pales in comparison to what I now have--but that's a whole other topic.
She doesn't NEED to have that kind of bumper sticker, she WANTS it. I do agree that being obnoxiously Christian and beating people over the head with it, isn't a good profession of Christianity. But that bumper sticker is not anywhere close to that.

Obviously I haven't been able to make it clear that it's what it says about her, not what it does to others. OK. Anyway, she looked like a cranky woman anyway. :-p
But you truly believe your peace is greater than my peace? How would you know that? My peace can kick your peace in the butt. Take that! :)
