The going is gonna get tougher
Better start paying attention:
April 19, 2006 — The Bureau of Labor Statistics said in its monthly CPI report out this morning that consumer prices increased by 0.4 percent during March. The closely watched inflation gauge rose slightly more than expected. What's most worrying about this morning's report is the reading of the core rate, which strips out the volatile prices for energy and food. That number came in at +0.3 percent during March, the biggest one-month increase in a year.Say what!? What does that mean? Simple: prices going up, wages coming down, and nothing but war ahead. Tighten your belt because unless you're a millionaire, the going is gonna get tougher. But hey, at least ARGville will continue to be free.
