Islam and Christianity: Just about the same?

An interesting discussion is taking place in the advice forum in the topic titled "Relationship Problem". In it, Clive is asking for advice. He's a Christian and is in love with a Muslim girl. He's thinking of converting because "i understand Islam is basically the same as Christianity". Stacy and Nikki Louise don't agree. What advice do you have for Clive?
